Principal AI/ML Engineer

As a Principal AI/ML Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our vision for AI-driven solutions that improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the vision for data science platforms, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.
- Design and implement novel machine learning models for prediction, engagement, and optimization, leveraging both structured and unstructured data.
- Stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements, recommending solutions that drive business growth and improve health outcomes.
- Mentor and guide data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and other teams to ensure the successful delivery of AI/ML projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI-driven solutions for business problems, ensuring alignment with company policies and standards.
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with 5+ years of industry experience in a hands-on technical role.
- Demonstrated experience leading and implementing AI/ML projects from ideation to delivery.
- Hands-on expertise in implementing and training machine learning algorithms, including non-parametric tests, mixed linear models, and modern supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
- Proven experience in Python and its libraries, including NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
- Demonstrated experience in Gen AI solution pipeline engineering and Large Language Modeling and Transformer Architectures.
- Proven presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex AI/ML concepts and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in healthcare (AI) and working with cross-functional and distributed teams in a global and diverse environment.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching AI/ML talent, establishing AI/ML best practices, standards, and ethics.
- Demonstrated portfolio of AI/ML publications, patents, or awards, and experience with model observability tools.
