Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Specialist to join our team at MyCare Health Center. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of medical and dental claims for payment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and submit clean claims for payment to insurance companies
  • Process payments from insurance companies and post to the appropriate claim
  • Identify and resolve patient billing complaints
  • Prepare and mail patient account statements
  • Evaluate patient financial status and establish budget payment plans
  • Follow up on delinquent patient accounts
  • Perform various collection actions, including contacting patients by phone
  • Prepare ad-hoc account reports as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Dental billing experience required
  • Experience with Dentrix highly preferred
  • 3 years' experience in Medical or Dental Billing and Collections preferred
  • AHIMA or AAPC Medical Billing certification preferred-not required
