Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Engineer to lead a section of project leadership professionals in managing all elements of a project through its lifecycle, including development, transition to production, design verification, qualification, and manufacturing acceptance of final product going to the customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams and cost account management, including the development of EVMS artifacts, EACs, LRE/ETC, baseline change management, overall team execution strategy, and BOEs.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams in the operation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Interact with Operation Managers, Operation PTEs, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, CPT/Directorate Leads, and other functional management to drive results to achieve program and business unit objectives.
  • Support Test Equipment Engineering program hiring goals and lead the onboarding of new section personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading efforts as a program manager, IPTL, sub-IPTL, REA, and/or project team lead.
  • Experience with financial reporting activities, including CAM.
  • S. government issued security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience developing artifacts in Gain Phase (IQ) analysis.
  • Experience working in Agile development process.
  • Experience working with program configuration management principles and tools such as IMS, PMX tools, or tracking books.
  • Past engineering experience working in a matrix organization comprised of multidiscipline design teams across multiple projects with rigorous design disciplines.
  • Knowledge with the Performance Development Process.
  • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process and Engineering Labor Forecasting (ELF) System.
  • Knowledge with business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies.
