About the Team
The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at TikTok merges software and systems engineering to develop and maintain large-scale, distributed, and resilient systems. As part of our team, you will tackle complex scalability challenges while leveraging your skills in coding, algorithms, and system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in and enhance the entire service lifecycle, from initial design and development to deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.
- Architect and implement software solutions and monitoring frameworks to ensure effective governance of service-oriented architectures (SOA).
- Promote sustainable system scaling through automation and drive improvements in reliability, efficiency, and operational velocity.
- Engage in user support, incident management, and conduct blameless postmortems to foster a culture of learning.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, accompanied by over 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or Rust.
- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed computing.
- Preferred experience in designing and evaluating large-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
