Key ResponsibilitiesAs a CNC Machinist, your primary duties will include:
- Operating CNC Lathe and CNC Mill for the machining of various components.
- Working predominantly with 300 series stainless steel and higher nickel alloys, with opportunities to engage with other materials.
To succeed in this role, you should be proficient in using measuring instruments such as:
- Calipers
- Dial indicators
- Micrometers
- Portable surface roughness gauges
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Trade school experience is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of machining experience is preferred.
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with an expectation of approximately 45 hours per week. Due to the variable nature of production demands, work hours may fluctuate. Additional overtime may be required on weekends, though it is not guaranteed.
Physical RequirementsThis position involves frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping. The ability to lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance is necessary. Visual acuity is essential for tasks requiring close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Exposure to typical environmental factors associated with machining is expected. Personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes, must be worn.
