Expert Archaeological Field Specialist

Parametrix is seeking to collaborate with experienced cultural resource specialists to support upcoming projects and workload. Work will primarily take place throughout Washington and Oregon. These positions will be on an on-call basis, with duration and schedule dependent on individual project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide participation in archaeological survey, evaluation, data recovery, and monitoring support.
Opportunities for additional writing assignments following field work may include processing of artifacts and reporting tasks.
The successful candidates should have an undergraduate degree with coursework in archaeology, and an archaeological field school or comparable experience (internship, training, work experience). 1+ years of experience is preferred.
Travel will be required to work sites within the Northwest and occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
These are physically rigorous positions. The ability to hike 5+ miles a day and carry loads of 20+ lbs is required.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position will be $27-$35, determined based on education, experience, location, and role. Parametrix conducts an equity review and is transparent in our salary discussions. We look forward to sharing more about our compensation structure.
