- Collaborate closely with Business Unit (BU) partners to gain insights into their operations, assist them in understanding their financial metrics, and challenge their assumptions.
- Recommend and engage in the implementation of enhancement measures as necessary, including active participation in troubleshooting, improvements, and system conversions.
- Oversee the month-end closing process.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements along with supporting schedules for submission to the corporate accounting team.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory volume and costing.
- Manage processes related to divisional accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset management, and intercompany transactions.
- Deliver insightful analysis of both direct and indirect production costs to management.
- Provide monthly analysis of regular operating expenses.
- Generate a variety of ad-hoc financial reports as required.
- Guide support staff on general accounting and financial reporting systems, policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Supervise the year-end audit process.
- Lead finance personnel by providing supervision, direction, and guidance.
- Offer training and support to both new and existing employees.
- Foster a positive work environment and ensure staff awareness of company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Diploma with equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Management in a supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle accounting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Strong managerial skills essential for supporting, training, and motivating staff.
- Autonomy, diplomacy, tenacity, rigor, flexibility, and a hands-on approach are vital for this role.
- Full-time, permanent position
- 5 days a week in-office work environment
