Key ResponsibilitiesThe Surgical Technology Team Supervisor is a skilled professional responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of surgical specialty areas. This role includes:
1. Ensuring high standards of care by monitoring daily surgical operations.
2. Preparing for surgical cases by confirming the availability of necessary supplies and equipment, while addressing any conflicts with surgical teams.
3. Staying informed about evidence-based practices and collaborating with leadership to enhance clinical practices.
4. Developing and maintaining comprehensive preference cards for surgical procedures to facilitate efficient operations.
5. Supporting the development of programs and educational initiatives within the surgical specialty.
6. Collaborating with the Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
7. Onboarding new surgical staff and facilitating their integration into the operating room environment.
8. Working with various departments to ensure the successful implementation of new surgical cases.
9. Contributing to budget planning and product selection processes.
10. Performing additional duties as required.
QualificationsEducation:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program is mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is mandatory.
