Medical Transcriptionist Role

At Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, we are seeking a skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports, evaluations, and summaries dictated by physicians and residents. This role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Transcribe medical reports, evaluations, and summaries with high accuracy
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure accurate and timely transcription
Stay up-to-date with medical terminology and industry developments

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of medical transcription experience
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
Ability to type rapidly and accurately from dictating equipment
Word processing capabilities
