Responsibilities:- Manage acute and chronic pulmonary diseases, practicing at the top of your license
- Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and document findings in a timely manner, including prescribing medications and ordering appropriate tests/procedures
- Attend and participate in group/practice meetings, contribute to policy development, and engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
- Nurse practitioners require an acute care master's degree or doctorate in nursing practice, with certification as an ACNP from a nationally recognized certifying body
- Physician Assistants require certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs
- 1-2 years of APP experience preferred, with post-graduate Pulmonary Medicine fellowship and/or Pulmonary Medicine experience a plus
- North Carolina license, North Carolina DEA, BLS, and ACLS required
