Furnace Operator Job Description

Job Summary:

The Furnace Operator is responsible for loading material into continuous pusher style furnaces and removing the material that comes out of the furnace. This role requires attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and effective time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading: Load material into continuous pusher style furnaces and remove the material that comes out of the furnace.
  • Material Evaluation: Conduct an evaluation of the electrical properties of the material.
  • Departmental Support: Provide support to the Production department as needed.

Requirements:

  • Lifting Ability: Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is crucial in this role.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task and follow assignments through to completion.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills are essential.
  • Reliability: Conscientiousness, punctuality, and dependability are essential.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
