Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) plays a crucial role in supporting patient care within our Primary Care Clinic. This position involves working closely with healthcare providers to ensure efficient and effective patient management.

Work Environment
  • Department: Primary Care Clinic
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Key Responsibilities

The CMA/RMA will assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of a healthcare provider. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting treatment plans as directed by the provider or registered nurse.
  • Performing designated clinical tasks.
  • Conducting patient interviews, measuring vital signs, and documenting information in patient records.
  • Preparing examination rooms for patient assessments.
  • Executing basic administrative tasks such as answering phones, maintaining records, and organizing files.
  • Managing inventory by ordering and restocking supplies.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Documenting patient encounters as directed by the provider.
  • Accurately recording diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as indicated.
  • Transcribing orders for laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following licensure and educational requirements:

  • Licensure/Certification:
    • BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer. Accepted certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
    • Medical Assistant certification required within 180 days of hire or transfer.
  • Education:
    • High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant job experience.
    • Note: Professional licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience where applicable.
