Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of the healthcare team at North Oaks Health System, providing high-quality nursing care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. As a LPN, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and upholding the Philosophy and Objectives of NOHS.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, adjusting methods to accommodate the needs of each age group.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, according to scope of practice and policy.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKG testing, and other ancillary duties as required.
- Document patient information accurately and legibly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians in a courteous and professional manner.
- Participate in operational functions, including maintaining inventory, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, and assisting with office duties.
- Adhere to policy and procedure, including attending monthly staff meetings, adhering to acceptable dress code, and reporting incidents and injuries.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Currently licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners and maintain licensure.
- 1-3 years of previous LPN experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
