The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in supporting physicians and mid-level providers by engaging in clinical tasks and delivering direct patient care. This position may also involve assisting with appointment scheduling and other activities to ensure optimal patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and manage the expectations of the role, including ownership of tasks, teaching opportunities, and areas for personal and professional development.
  • Set clear objectives for the role and establish timelines for achievement.
  • Recognize how the role can evolve as the individual gains experience and expertise.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Perform clinical tasks in alignment with the scope of practice as per LPN licensure and relevant state regulations.
  • Accurately measure and document patient vital signs, prepare examination rooms, and ensure equipment and supplies are sterilized according to established protocols.
  • Manage communication for physicians/providers regarding clinical inquiries, prescription renewals, test results, and other patient-related calls following practice guidelines.
  • Prepare patient records for consultations as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to clarify roles, responsibilities, processes, and address patient concerns.
  • Work hours are scheduled between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited LPN educational program.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state.
Physical Demands:
  • Standing - 70%
  • Sitting - 30%
  • Reaching - 80%
  • Bending - 50%
  • Lifting - Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • This position requires onsite presence.
Compensation:
  • Hourly wage ranges from $24.04 to $32.21.
