Job Overview

Volt is seeking a skilled R&D Engineering Technician to join our team in Redmond, WA.

As an R&D Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Prototyping
    • Assemble prototype devices using precision tools and equipment.
    • Fabricate components using 3D printing and other manufacturing techniques.
    • Design and build custom tools and fixtures to support prototype completion.
  • Test and Inspection
    • Evaluate new component designs using incoming inspection and verification methods.
    • Test prototypes using engineering test methods and procedures.
    • Source and procure new test equipment and verify its quality.
    • Evaluate new assembly processes and develop qualification protocols.
    • Develop new test and inspection methods from scratch.
  • Design and Development
    • Develop prototype-level assembly processes into manufacturing-level assembly processes.
    • Design and develop original components, tools, and processes from specification and concept.

This is a full-time contingent opportunity.

Education and Training:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience.
  • Two-year degree or higher preferred.
  • Prior technical experience and manufacturing/production experience a plus.

Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour.
