Job Opportunity

At Interim HealthCare of New Hampshire, we're seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Home Health PTA, you'll play a vital role in helping patients regain their strength, manage their pain, and reach their goals in a home setting where therapy is tailored to their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide home-based physical therapy to patients who have lost mobility, strength, and functionality due to an illness or injury
  • Work collaboratively with a home health team, including an RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, OT, and SLP, to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and modify care plans as needed
  • Assist patients with exercises and hands-on therapy to manage pain and increase mobility
  • Educate patients on their plan of care, established goals, exercises, and self-care
  • Coach family members on the plan of care, therapy goals, and safely assisting with exercises

Requirements:

  • Active PTA license in Maine
  • Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, ideally in home healthcare
  • CPR certification
  • Up-to-date on all State of Maine Required vaccinations
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, dexterity, and compassion
