At Interim HealthCare of New Hampshire, we're seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Home Health PTA, you'll play a vital role in helping patients regain their strength, manage their pain, and achieve their goals in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized physical therapy to patients in their homes, focusing on regaining mobility, strength, and functionality
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, OTs, and SLPs, to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and modify care plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on therapy goals, exercises, and self-care techniques
  • Coach family members on safely assisting with exercises and promoting patient independence

Requirements:

  • Active PTA license in Maine
  • Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, preferably in home healthcare
  • CPR certification
  • Up-to-date on all State of Maine required vaccinations
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, dexterity, and compassion
