We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Leadperson to join our team at Flowers Baking Co Jacksonville. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shift production.
Key Responsibilities- Assist supervisors in the operations of shift production, ensuring that production employees are instructed and trained in the care and safe operation of equipment.
- Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials, and perform continuous inspections of products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition and promote positive relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
- Position may be responsible for operating the facility metal detector(s), requiring full training and certification.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings.
- May occasionally work in place of employees out sick, on vacation, etc.
- Plan and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of production, maintain cleanliness of work area, and ensure compliance with all company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
