Job Summary:

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Metal Fabrication Specialist to become a part of our workforce. In this role, you will be tasked with constructing and assembling metal frameworks and products utilizing various welding methodologies. The ideal candidate should possess a solid grasp of welding fundamentals, be adept at interpreting blueprints and technical schematics, and have a meticulous eye for detail to guarantee the excellence of the final output. This position demands physical strength, agility, and a strong adherence to safety measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute welding operations employing diverse techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) to connect or mend metal components.
  • Analyze and adhere to technical schematics, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure precise and accurate fabrication.
  • Prepare and operate welding apparatus, including the selection of appropriate tools, gases, and wire or electrode materials.
  • Assess materials for imperfections and confirm they meet specified standards prior to initiating the welding process.
  • Clean, prepare, and organize metal surfaces for welding, eliminating any contaminants or impurities.
  • Conduct welding assessments to evaluate the quality of welds and implement necessary modifications to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain welding machinery through regular upkeep and repairs.
  • Comply with safety protocols and utilize suitable personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
  • Monitor the inventory of welding supplies and inform the supervisor of any shortages or required materials.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should possess some or all of the following educational and technical qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in Welding.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Welder or in a comparable role within metal fabrication.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with machinery and the use of tips, nozzles, and other equipment components.
  • Capability to operate and maintain welding equipment effectively.

Candidates should exhibit some or all of the following skills and abilities:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
  • Physical endurance and the ability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and bending for extended durations.
