Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

Job Summary:

IFAB Corp. is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team in the Tool and Die department. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for repairing stamp tooling, filling out and filing Preventative Maintenance Sheets, and ensuring parts produced adhere to IFAB Corp. and customer standards and dimension tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards.
  • Repair and maintain stamp tooling to ensure optimal performance.
  • Accurately complete and file Preventative Maintenance Sheets.
  • Change over tooling and remove punches for sharpening and replacement.
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and adjust to achieve desired results.
  • Participate in new tooling try-outs and engineering changes to ensure safety.
  • Recommend tooling repair or replacement as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines and tools.
  • Notify supervisors of any issues or concerns.
  • Manage spare and change-over tooling to ensure timely availability.
  • Utilize hand tools to repair tooling as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC operation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in tool and die making.
  • Knowledge of stamping tools, including progressive and transfer tools, as well as basic press and feeder knowledge.
  • Understanding of press safety and feed speed of tool room equipment.
  • Excellent machining skills, including setup and ability to machine components to precise dimensions.
  • Journeyman card or apprenticeship certificate preferred.

Work Environment:

The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to hydraulic and other oils, as well as various metal components. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
