Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients, including medication administration, skin and wound care, and other essential patient care activities.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, preparing required records and reports.
- Accompany, assist, and represent the needs of patients to other healthcare providers.
- Interpret and explain procedures, regimens, and services to patients and families, teaching health care and disease prevention techniques.
- Monitor patients for significant and critical changes, initiating procedures as required, and documenting care given according to set standards and at required intervals.
- Organize, supervise, and make adjustments to the quality of care provided by co-workers for a given work period.
- Participate in promoting a healthful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, setting up and controlling the environment essential for infection control.
- Prepare patients and/or areas for procedures and operations, assisting physicians and using instruments and equipment related to the area of assignment.
- Provide and evaluate patient care established standards and criteria in conformity with the nursing care plan.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program preferred.
- Minimum six months experience as a Registered Nurse I with AHS or the equivalent of one year full-time recent experience at a comparable level in a minimum 100-bed hospital or in the area of specialty.
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Preferred certifications: CEN, CCRN, PALS, ACLS, BLS, CPI, and TNCC.
