Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the State of Tennessee. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care and procedures according to physicians' orders and nursing protocol.
  • Administer medication according to the physician's orders and protocol.
  • Evaluate possible side effects and the overall effectiveness of medication.
  • Perform BLS (Basic Life Support), CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and other emergency responses.
  • Participate in emergency response settings.
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments according to protocol.
  • Collect patient and family health history data.
  • Perform diagnostic tests on collected specimens to determine patient's health status.
  • Document patient information according to standards of care.
  • Complete patient health records (electronic and paper).
  • Complete medication record/sheet.
Requirements
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • A valid motor vehicle operator license may be required.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that may require working days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends in an institution, clinic, hospital, home care, or other healthcare setting.
