About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Support Specialist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in developing individuality and promoting self-expression through a supportive environment.
  • Help patients acknowledge and accept responsibility for their psychological and behavioral patterns through feedback and positive reinforcement.
  • Participate in admission procedures, orienting patients and their families to our unit and program.
  • Perform basic tasks such as patient safety rounding, admissions, vital signs, blood pressure, specimen collection, and assisting with activities of daily living.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma with at least 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field or completion of a Psychiatric Assistant or Nurse Aide training program, or 1 year of experience in the Behavioral Health field.
  • Certification as a Mental Health Technician is preferred.
