Golf Course Superintendent

The Golf Course Superintendent is a key member of the Sunseeker Resorts team, responsible for the maintenance, operations, and management of the Aileron golf course. This role requires a high level of expertise in agronomy and turfgrass management, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

• Maintenance and Operations: Supervise the maintenance and repair of construction and golf course maintenance equipment, manage and maintain golf course properties, and coordinate operations with the Head Golf Professional.
• Staff Management: Interview, hire, train, and supervise a staff of team members for the purpose of maintaining the golf course.
• Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare annual budgets for the maintenance and capital improvement of course properties, and exercise cost control measures to keep operating and capital expenses in line with approved budgets.
• Inventory Control and Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for inventory control and equipment maintenance programs.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with other members of the top management group to discuss activities, goals, plans, and member/customer input, and develop collaborative relationships and synergy with all support departments.

• Education and Experience: Combination of education and experience will be considered. Minimum 3-5 years in a Golf Course Superintendent role with previous supervisory experience in a club or golf course setting.
• Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices, a working knowledge of golf facility construction principles, practices, and methods, and a thorough understanding of the rules and strategies of the game of golf.
• Licenses and Certifications: Florida Pesticide Applicators License in good standing and a valid driver's license in good standing.
