Job Summary

Sunseeker Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and quality in our guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and customer service.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all areas of the housekeeping department meet our quality standards.
  • Supply Management: Ensure that all lockers are well-stocked and that supplies are ordered as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest areas, public areas, and hallways in need of repair.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication with leadership and team members to ensure understanding of goals and objectives.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor staff to ensure departmental standards are met and to promote a culture of excellence.
  • Guest Service: Ensure that all guest requests are met promptly and that any issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Convention Sales & Services, Facilities, Security, Front Services, Front Office, F&B, Golf Course, and Executive Offices, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Combination of education and experience will be considered. A minimum of two to three years of experience in a supervisory role and two to three years of experience in a hotel/resort setting is required.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish, experience with Forbes Star and AAA Diamond standard, and a strong understanding of quality control and supply management.
