Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Educator to join our team at UP Health System - Marquette. As a Diabetes Educator, you will play a critical role in providing education, consultation, and evaluation of patient and program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement teaching interventions for patients, families, and significant others.
  • Deliver educational material using teaching principles and various formats for new pediatric inpatients and outpatients in group and individual sessions.
  • Assist in maintaining diabetes supplies and provide backup support to other staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Dietetics.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
  • Registered Dietitian Certification or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification within 2 years of hire.
