We are seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Educator to join our team at UP Health System - Marquette. As a Diabetes Educator, you will play a critical role in providing education, consultation, and evaluation of patient and program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement teaching interventions for patients, families, and significant others.
- Deliver educational material using teaching principles and various formats for new pediatric inpatients and outpatients in group and individual sessions.
- Assist in maintaining diabetes supplies and provide backup support to other staff as needed.
- Associate's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Dietetics.
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
- Registered Dietitian Certification or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification within 2 years of hire.
