Nurse Career Opportunities with Competitive PayAbout the Role

This position offers a unique chance to become a valued member of a healthcare team at a correctional facility, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to inmates. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will work closely with medical staff to assess and treat chronic, acute, psychological, and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health Screenings and Physical Examinations: Perform health screenings and physical examinations to ensure inmates receive proper care.
  • Triage and Treatment: Triage, assess, and treat inmates' health issues, including chronic, acute, psychological, and medical needs.
  • Mental Health Care: Assess and provide mental health care, including patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as directed by medical staff.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a first responder in emergency and crisis situations.
  • General Nursing Duties: Perform general nursing duties, such as cardiac monitoring, catheter management, venipuncture, IVs, and diabetic lines.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
  • License: Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the state in which the position is located, with a valid license in good standing.
  • Experience: 1+ year of relevant Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience.
