About Our Client:

Addison Group is in search of a Procurement Specialist for our client, a global leader in specialty insurance that delivers innovative solutions for brokers, agents, and insurance carriers.

Job Overview:

The Procurement Specialist will oversee supplier partnerships, spearhead sourcing initiatives, and negotiate agreements. This position requires collaboration across departments to pinpoint process enhancements and provide administrative assistance to the Procurement Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Vice President and Procurement Manager in all procurement-related tasks.
  • Manage the procurement inbox, directing requests to the appropriate team members.
  • Offer analytical support and lead the RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
  • Draft scope of work and bid documents for RFPs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct supplier proposal evaluations and negotiations.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and oversee supplier performance management.
  • Prepare and draft contractual documents including Master Agreements, NDAs, and Statements of Work.
  • Maintain the contracts database and generate reports for executive leadership.
  • Verify and approve requisitions in Workday.
  • Execute additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of experience in procurement.
  • Ability to read and comprehend contracts.
  • Proficiency in Workday is highly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of contractual terms, intellectual property issues, and legal risks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, internal partners, and external vendors.
  • Capability to manage change, work under pressure, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines independently.
