About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Print Operations Specialist to join our team at Ricoh Americas Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth production of print jobs and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate High-Volume Printing Equipment: You will be responsible for operating high-volume printing equipment, including continuous feed and cut sheet printing machines, to produce large-volume print jobs.
  • Perform Inserting Tasks: You will perform inserting tasks using high-speed commercial inserters and associated copying tasks.
  • Ship and Receive Product: You will ship and receive product and supplies, sort, distribute, and handle incoming and outgoing mail/faxes, and apply necessary postage.
  • Provide Copier Maintenance: You will provide copier maintenance and repair services for site equipment.
  • Perform Bindery and Quality Control: You will perform bindery, quality control, and final check tasks, as well as housekeeping and file services.
  • Assist with Meeting Set-Ups: You will assist with meeting set-ups and provide reception services as needed.
  • Perform White Glove Mail Piece Handling: You will perform white glove mail piece handling, requiring a detailed approach to assembling individual mail pieces from large-volume print runs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent required; 2-3 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Related Copy Job Experience: Some related copy job experience, preferably in a high-production, mechanically sophisticated print environment, is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License: You must have a valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage required.
  • Ability to Learn Complex Systems: You must be able to learn complex production and/or communication systems, such as client-specific mainframe applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working Knowledge of Copier Equipment: You must have a working knowledge of copier and other related equipment and repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of Shipping/Receiving Procedures: You must have knowledge and understanding of shipping/receiving procedures required.
  • Basis Electronics Knowledge: Basis electronics knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to Work Independently: You must be able to work independently and flexibly to complete projects.
  • Ability to Determine Correct Method: You must be able to determine correct method and packing material, as well as check packing slips for accuracy of incoming materials.
  • Ability to Comprehend Instructions: You must be able to comprehend instructions concerning mail delivery.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills: Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to Read and Comprehend Technical Information: You must be able to read and comprehend written technical information in the form of manuals, parts books, and related publications.
  • Excellent Customer Relations Skills: Excellent customer relations skills and excellent verbal communication skills required.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
  • Frequent Exposure to Noise: You will have frequent exposure to copier/fax machine noise, toner, and changes in room temperature.
  • Exposure to Various Weather Conditions: You will have exposure to various weather conditions when walking between buildings.
  • Daily Telephone/In-Person Contact: You will have daily telephone/in-person contact with customers, employees, managers, and/or Dispatch Department.
  • Dealing with Tight Deadlines: You will have to deal with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times imposes high stress levels.
  • Some Physical Effort Required: Some physical effort required, including long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, or similar activities.
