Position Overview

BASIS Phoenix North is on the lookout for dedicated professionals to fill the role of Elementary Teacher.

As a BASIS Ed Elementary Learning Expert Teacher, you will leverage your educational expertise to cater to the diverse learning needs of your students. In collaboration with Subject Expert Teachers, you will focus on personalized student outcomes rather than preparing multiple lessons daily, allowing you to concentrate on enhancing each student's learning experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • A demonstrated commitment to improving student achievement and fostering individual student growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in elementary education
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Willingness to explore innovative teaching strategies

Role of Learning Expert Teachers in Our Collaborative Model:

BASIS Elementary Teachers are passionate educators who believe in the transformative power of education. Our K-3 (or K-4, depending on campus location) classrooms are co-led by two elementary school teachers, ensuring continuous engagement with students. Our Learning Expert Teachers (LETs) foster a vibrant learning environment where effort is recognized, and intellectual curiosity leads to exceptional student achievements. LETs tailor education to meet the unique needs of each learner, creating a classroom atmosphere where both teachers and students thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a designated group of students and guide them through daily classroom transitions
  • Collaborate closely with the Subject Expert Teacher (SET) for each instructional period
  • Utilize your expertise in elementary education to provide targeted instruction for individuals or small groups
  • Establish and uphold behavioral standards necessary for a productive learning environment
