Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Faculty member to join our team at Los Rios Community College District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of chemistry courses, including general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Teach chemistry courses at the community college level, including lectures, laboratories, and discussions.
  2. Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students pursuing careers in allied health, biological sciences, physical sciences, computer science, and engineering.
  3. Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students.
  4. Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, including curriculum development, articulation, and accreditation.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements
  1. Master's degree in chemistry or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry and a Master's degree in a related field.
  2. Experience teaching chemistry courses at the community college level.
  3. Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators from diverse backgrounds.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  2. Experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes.
  3. Experience with departmental and college-wide activities, including curriculum development, articulation, and accreditation.
  4. Experience with collaborative teaching and learning environments.
