Clinical Nurse II: D4N: Medical Cardiology
Job Summary:The Clinical Nurse II: D4N: Medical Cardiology is a registered nurse responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Medical Cardiology unit. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac and medical diagnoses, as well as the ability to implement physician orders and administer medications.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as required.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Previous experience as a PCA or other nursing assistance preferred.
- Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
