Orthopedic Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Clinical Nurse to join our team at Albany Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic nursing and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as needed.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care, and develop and implement individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to provide high-quality patient care and achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, and administer medications as ordered.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program.
- Current state Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and principles in patient care quality improvement.
