The HVAC Technician I plays a crucial role in the management, repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities associated with this position may differ based on client needs and operational requirements at Aramark locations.

  • Install, inspect, test, operate, and repair all refrigeration and associated equipment necessary for food preservation, ice production, cooling, heating, and ventilation.
  • Calibrate, repair, and maintain all pneumatic control systems and related apparatus.
  • Service, clean, and replace filters in all air conditioning and heating units, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of grills, ducts, and shafts in air conditioning, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration codes and practices, coordinating work with other trades as necessary.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to emergency repair and maintenance situations as required.
  • Manage critical inventory necessary for operational continuity and account for tools utilized.
  • Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive demeanor towards customers, clients, and colleagues.

Qualifications
HVAC Certification is preferred.
Previous experience in HVAC is required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Candidates must adhere to safety protocols due to physical demands associated with the role.

This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
