Reporting Relationship: The Restaurant Operations Supervisor reports directly to the General Manager.

Essential Functions:

Ensure a High-Quality Operation:

  • Deliver a positive atmosphere for team members, managers, and guests.
  • Guarantee prompt and friendly service in line with McAlister's standards.
  • Ensure consistent production of high-quality food.
  • Oversee team performance and activities on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Enhance guest satisfaction through a proactive presence and timely service.
  • Maintain an inviting ambiance through appropriate music and lighting.
  • Foster positive guest relations and address concerns professionally.
  • Build relationships with local authorities to manage regulatory issues.
  • Assist in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all areas.

Maintain Controls:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to review financial performance and manage budgets effectively.
  • Monitor inventory to minimize waste and theft.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet guest needs without excess.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks promptly.
  • Adhere to cash control policies and ensure compliance among team members.

Manage Team Members:

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate team members effectively.
  • Build respectful relationships with all staff.
  • Address team member concerns to minimize turnover.
  • Implement recognition programs for outstanding contributions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Advocate a Team Environment:

  • Encourage high morale and motivation among staff.
  • Facilitate team meetings to discuss operations and training.
