Reporting Relationship: The Restaurant Operations Supervisor reports directly to the General Manager.
Essential Functions:
Ensure a High-Quality Operation:
- Deliver a positive atmosphere for team members, managers, and guests.
- Guarantee prompt and friendly service in line with McAlister's standards.
- Ensure consistent production of high-quality food.
- Oversee team performance and activities on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Enhance guest satisfaction through a proactive presence and timely service.
- Maintain an inviting ambiance through appropriate music and lighting.
- Foster positive guest relations and address concerns professionally.
- Build relationships with local authorities to manage regulatory issues.
- Assist in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all areas.
Maintain Controls:
- Collaborate with the General Manager to review financial performance and manage budgets effectively.
- Monitor inventory to minimize waste and theft.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure product quality standards are met.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet guest needs without excess.
- Complete daily administrative tasks promptly.
- Adhere to cash control policies and ensure compliance among team members.
Manage Team Members:
- Recruit, train, and evaluate team members effectively.
- Build respectful relationships with all staff.
- Address team member concerns to minimize turnover.
- Implement recognition programs for outstanding contributions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Advocate a Team Environment:
- Encourage high morale and motivation among staff.
- Facilitate team meetings to discuss operations and training.
- Maintain open communication with other managers.
- Address team conflicts professionally to promote unity.
