Job Summary

The Nurse Navigator is a critical role at Northern Light Health, responsible for ensuring timely access and seamless coordination of services throughout the continuum of care for patients with urologic conditions. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and fellow employees to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Clearly and effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and fellow employees to provide high-quality patient care.
• Respond to patient-generated concerns and complaints regarding nursing care.
• Support management team efforts and use a constructive, consistent approach in the oversight of staff, providing feedback on the delivery of patient care and maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships.
• Serve as a support to staff delivering services to patients and manage physician needs to expedite patient care.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and working environments, efficiently coordinating scheduling of staff and providing input on staff performance to the Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maine.
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urology or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Working Conditions
