Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paraprofessional to join our team at BlazerJobs. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and social development within the school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance
  • Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunchrooms, and playgrounds
  • Reinforce positive behavior and help manage classroom discipline
  • Assist with classroom materials and equipment preparation
  • Accompany students to and from specialized classes, therapies, or other activities as needed
  • Support students with special needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all school policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a paraprofessional training program or at least two years of college coursework (Associate's degree or higher preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics (testing may be required)
  • Compliance with all local and state requirements for paraprofessional certification, including background checks, clearances, and any other certifications as required by individual districts
