Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at Walker Volkswagen in Metairie, Louisiana. This is a full-time, hourly position that offers opportunities for growth and advancement in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Volkswagen vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in Volkswagen vehicles.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and provide accurate assessments of repair needs.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle problems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service area.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair recommendations and timelines.
  • Keep up-to-date with Volkswagen technical training and certifications.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient service operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Volkswagen vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical and technical abilities.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
