As an RNFA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care during complex surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively with the surgeon and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care duties within the operating room setting, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in assisting surgeons during liver transplant procedures, utilizing your specialized knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, communicating clearly and concisely to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control practices throughout the surgical process.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by fostering teamwork and mutual respect among colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room experience, with specific expertise in liver transplant surgery.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) and successful completion of an RNFA program.
