We are seeking a skilled Sign Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Resource Logistics. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating, producing, and distributing highway signs in accordance with client standards.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and produce highway signs using various materials and equipment, including aluminum, salvaged material, and computer-aided design software.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment used in the sign production process, including shear machines, punch presses, and squeeze roll applicators.
- Apply principles of industrial safety practices to ensure a safe working environment and maintain quality control in all processes.
- Establish order and priority of sign orders and produce special projects, such as banners, decals, and signage, received from assigned agencies or organizations.
- Maintain inventory control of materials used in sign production and perform miscellaneous related duties, including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining the shop area.
- Formal education in arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and percentages.
- 3 months of training or experience in sheet metal work and operation of related equipment.
- 3 months of training or experience in industrial safety practices.
- Ability to apply principles to solve practical, everyday problems and read and understand blueprints.
This is a day shift position with two available openings. One position may be long-term, while the other will last until around October/November. The long-term candidate will be determined during the length of the contract.
