Job Summary

Bel-Aire Mechanical, a Legence company, is seeking a skilled Quality Control Technician to join their team. As a key member of the fabrication team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of fabricated spools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and verify the quality of received materials and equipment
  • Perform visual inspections to identify any defects or damage
  • Ensure compliance with quality plans and contract specifications
  • Verify dimensional and orientational accuracy of spool drawings
  • Perform weld quality examinations and verify documentation
  • Ensure spools are properly tagged and stored
  • Notify the fabrication manager of completed spools
  • Submit weekly reports to the Quality Manager
Requirements
  • Pass the visual examination requirements or hold an AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification
  • Have sufficient background and training in visual examination of materials, welds, and joints
  • Be familiar with welding, brazing, and bonding processes, as well as documentation and metallurgy
  • Have excellent computer and software skills, including word processing, email, and spreadsheets
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
