Position Summary:

The Transportation Operations Coordinator is responsible for effectively scheduling and dispatching transportation services to various providers. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless coordination of transportation logistics, particularly in mass transit scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and assign routes for trips across a diverse range of service providers.
  • Facilitate coordination efforts for mass transportation as required.
  • Manage trip administration for volunteer drivers and oversee the mileage reimbursement program.
  • Ensure all documentation related to mileage mapping and application processes is completed accurately.
  • Collaborate closely with transportation providers and healthcare facilities to address and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Assign reservations to network providers to optimize vehicle resource utilization in response to client needs.
  • Maintain daily communication with transportation providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Input trip data accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply logic to solve everyday challenges.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Experience in routing, scheduling, or dispatching is preferred.
  • Familiarity with transit systems and Medicaid guidelines is advantageous.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service and telephone communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Capable of managing high call volumes effectively.
