Floral Design Specialist

Role Summary:

This position collaborates with the Design Manager to create engaging floral and container design projects in-store, off-site, and in private residential settings.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Exceed customer expectations by building genuine, long-lasting relationships through personalized attention and guiding customer choices to reflect their unique personal style.
  • Understand terrain retail concepts and partner with design leadership to create a cohesive environment through compelling plant installations and displays.
  • Exhibit an understanding of and interest in home and garden trends in art, style, color, design, and architecture, and translate trends and customer needs into brand-appropriate designs.

Teamwork + Communication:
  • Take initiative and work productively solo or within a team to achieve design goals, actively participating in daily meetings and sharing relevant information regarding plant design projects.
  • Build and maintain productive partnerships with members of the store team, contributing to a culture of strong communication and teamwork.
  • Communicate daily with the Design Manager on client consultations, design details, and project updates, managing client design files and ensuring prompt customer communication with project inquiries.

Visual + Business Operations:
  • Collaborate in the project planning process through sharing of inspiration, idea generation, and sketching, prioritizing projects and monitoring progress with timelines while staying within visual budget.
  • Understand and apply design principles to execute projects with a high level of craft, maintaining cleanliness and organization of back-of-house display areas.
  • Adhere to store safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and uphold all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store.
