The Aeroderivative Gas Turbine TFA III position encompasses the management of site operations, including the planning, organization, integration, and oversight of resources such as personnel, tools, and technical support to fulfill contractual obligations. This role involves making informed decisions within established guidelines, applying concepts to intricate challenges, and addressing issues through immediate actions or short-term strategies at customer power generation facilities. The Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Mechanical TFA III Engineer will report to the Plant Manager or the designated Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, execute, coordinate, and/or monitor activities related to the AD Gas Turbine (TM 2500) on-site.
- Implement on-site installation of systems and equipment, along with ongoing preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations post-installation.
- Conduct Borescope Inspections (BSI) for TM 2500 units.
- Perform maintenance tasks for LM 2500/TM 25000 units, covering Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 maintenance.
- Respond to urgent repair requests and service needs for malfunctioning equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
- Handle administrative duties such as drafting technical reports, ordering materials, obtaining quotations, and preparing job status updates and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Authorize all changes implemented.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by adhering to quality standards.
- Maintain a strong safety culture to ensure that all work meets Prismecs' safety protocols.
- Possess troubleshooting skills and conduct routine maintenance checks for a variety of equipment.
- Mentor and train other Field Engineers and team members as necessary to share and perpetuate field engineering and product knowledge.
- Generate accurate and timely technical reports for customer documentation and future reference.
- Ensure the availability of all necessary parts for the job at the site.
- Conduct walk-downs during installation to verify the proper execution of work by customer contractors.
- Implement aftermarket upgrades at the site level.
- Be prepared to work in rotational shifts, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
- Frequent travel to various project sites and field assignments will be essential.
- May undertake additional responsibilities to actively promote Prismecs' vision and align with our core values.
- Possess the qualifications and knowledge to effectively support field service activities and know where to seek answers to arising questions. Have successfully completed installations.

Qualifications
- Technical/University degree or equivalent experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Field Services role with TM 2500.
- Proficient in English, Spanish, or French (reading, writing, and speaking).
- 5+ years of experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance position with TM 2500.
- Experience and training on Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.
- Successful completion of mandatory TFA II training programs.
- Solid understanding of Gas Turbine Operation & Control Parameters.
- Strong technical proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams, dial and laser alignment, and thermal growth equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Frequent travel to various project sites and field assignments will be necessary.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Extensive experience in Field Engineering Services.
- Effective organizational and project management skills.
- Basic knowledge of HSE, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001.
