Physical Therapist I Correctional Facility

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at the California Health Care Facility in San Joaquin County. As a Physical Therapist I, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
- Interpret to patients the significance of physical therapy services.
- Comply with all applicable State and federal laws and regulations and departmental policies and procedures pertaining to the physical therapy program.
- Maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, and maintain the safety of persons and property and the security of working areas and work materials.
Requirements:
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
- Ability to pass the Physical Therapist I, Correctional Facility exam.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a correctional facility setting, which may involve exposure to inmates and potentially hazardous situations.
