Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Primrose Schools ®. As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and helping them develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Implement the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum, creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of each child.
  • Assess and evaluate the developmental progress of each child, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to plan and execute parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for children's behavior, promoting social and emotional growth.
  • Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school functions, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in early childhood education.
  • Adhere to the Primrose Employee Handbook, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Requirements
  • Meet the basic requirements of local child care regulatory agencies.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children and facilitating programs.
  • Infant and Young Toddler teachers must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
  • Infant-Preschool Teachers: 2-year degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
  • Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4-year degree in early childhood or related field required.
  • Kindergarten Teacher: 4-year degree in early childhood and certified to teach in the state of Georgia.
