Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to enhance the finance team in Houston, Texas. Proficiency in Spanish is considered a valuable asset.

This pivotal role involves close collaboration with the founding partners of the firm, providing strategic financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the preparation of capital calls and distributions to Limited Partners.
  2. Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, capital statements, tax returns, and performance reports.
  3. Conduct valuations of illiquid private investments.
  4. Support HR functions, including payroll management.
  5. Ensure all partnerships and entities remain in compliance and good standing.
  6. Assist in the management of the firm's insurance programs and policies.
  7. Supervise all accounting, tax, and regulatory functions of the investment management company.
  8. Facilitate the maintenance of borrowing facilities.
  9. Coordinate and nurture relationships with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, insurance brokers, banks, and other partners.
  10. Contribute to fundraising and business development due diligence efforts.
  11. Support Investor Relations in addressing Limited Partners' information requirements.
  12. Implement consistent accounting policies and procedures across all operations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 20 years of experience in private equity, specifically within the energy and power sectors.

Demonstrated experience at a senior controller or CFO level in another private equity firm.

Strong understanding of local and national tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Language Requirement

Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
