Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. As a key member of our Community Placement Plan team, you will play a critical role in assessing the behavioral health needs of clients residing in various settings, including Developmental Centers, Community Crisis Homes, and Locked Environments.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and evaluate behavioral services provided in Community Crisis Homes, Enhanced Behavioral Support Homes, and Delayed Egress Secured Perimeter Homes, at least monthly or as needed.
- Review and report on the status of Individual Behavioral Support Plans objectives for clients in these settings, at least monthly or as needed.
- Review Admission Packets for appropriateness of placement in Community Crisis Homes, Enhanced Behavioral Support Homes, and Delayed Egress Secured Perimeter Homes.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Unit and placing regional center to meet the needs of clients.
- Act as a liaison to stakeholders, including the Department of Developmental Services, Community Care Licensing, Department of Mental Health, Law Enforcement, and vendors of crisis services.
- Evaluate behavioral needs of clients residing in Developmental Centers who require assessment for discharge to the community under the Community Placement Plan, in coordination with the State Developmental Center Unit.
- Provide evaluation of behavioral needs of clients in Mental Health Facilities or Locked Settings, as it relates to discharge into the community.
- Consult with the Resource Development Unit in creation of Request for Proposals related to the community placement plan.
- Assist the Resource Development Unit in creating innovative and needed behavioral health services for clients who are difficult to serve in the community.
- Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
- Certified by the National Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the design and implementation of behavioral intervention services.
- At least 2-3 years' experience working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
- Experience working in collaboration with school districts, ABA companies, and/or providers who provide direct services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to handle change well and be flexible and adaptable in dealing with interruptions, new priorities, and new assignments.
- Ability to follow oral and written direction.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Full use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver's license, and liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law or ability to provide for independent transportation.
