Job Summary:

The Dietary Cook assists the Cook in the preparation and service of meals at Birchwood Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare. This role requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Cook in preparing and serving meals
Place prepared food on plates/trays in accordance with tray tickets
Deliver food and trays to residents
Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Specialized training in food service is desirable. The Dietary Cook must be able to read, speak, and understand English, follow directions, and complete tasks. Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

Birchwood Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a dynamic and supportive work environment. The Dietary Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing and serving meals to residents. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, and provide excellent customer service.
