Job Title: Per Diem EEG Technician

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Per Diem EEG Technician to join our team. As a Per Diem EEG Technician, you will be responsible for performing EEG procedures, taking complete histories from patients, and maintaining EEG equipment in clean and operating condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform EEG procedures, including calibration and troubleshooting
  • Take complete histories from patients, including medical records and special needs
  • Maintain EEG equipment in clean and operating condition, detecting malfunctions and reporting need for repairs
  • Clean and disinfect electrodes and LTM equipment according to laboratory guidelines
  • Conform to all lab policy and procedures regarding OSHA, Joint Commission, and hospital regulations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the central nervous system, diseases related to Neurodiagnostic medicine, instrumentation, and electrical safety
  • Demonstrate positive patient-appropriate interpersonal skills with patients, physician staff, and other hospital/clinic staff members
  • Acquire specialized skills to perform more difficult procedures and other Neurodiagnostic procedures
  • Participate in Laboratory Quality Assurance programs
  • Stock laboratory with supplies and linens as indicated
  • Clean laboratory and maintain its appropriate appearance
  • Continues education through journals, workshops, seminars, and site visits
Requirements:
  • Graduate of or currently enrolled in an Accredited Electrodiagnostic Program or certified hospital program preferred
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
